Vereb, Hitt and Associates was founded by Steve Vereb and Crawford Hitt out of a desire to dedicate the years of experience and expertise in security and prevention to serving the churches as they work to fulfill the Great Commission, both in the United States and around the world.

Steve Vereb was the Resident Agent in Charge for the U.S. Department of Defense in Atlanta and retired after 30 years of federal law enforcement service. He was a guest instructor at the Army Logistics Management College and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and a certified federal firearms instructor. He was involved in a number of high level investigations and has testified before Congress. He has led short term mission trips to Banda Aceh, Indonesia for tsunami relief, Kyrgyzstan and other locations in Europe and Central America. He served on the Missions Leadership Team at Fellowship Bible Church. He was intimately involved in establishing its crisis management and security programs and was its first Crisis Management Team chairman.

Crawford Hitt is a current member of the Overseas Security Council and the American Society for Industrial Security International where he is certified as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP). He is a former security sales consultant where he advised some of the nation’s largest companies on physical security, executive protection and risk assessments. He has 12 years experience in state law enforcement, 11 years in private security and 12 years experience as a security sales consultant specializing in physical and electronic security systems. He has led over 60 short term mission trips to seven different countries. He served on the Missions Leadership Team for his home church, Fellowship Bible Church, Roswell, Georgia and was intimately involved in establishing its crisis management and security plans.
